The Estancia Experience

Posted on April 23, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

By Mandela Namaste. Hola! Yesterday, we took a trip to an “estancia” outside of Buenos Aires. As we walked in, the gauchos served us empanadas, which were quite good. Afterwards, we went horseback riding. I hadn’t ridden a horse in 4 or 5 years, so I had forgotten how much fun it was. It seemed Read more about The Estancia Experience[…]

Spectacular Day!

Posted on April 23, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

By Emily Bauerlein. There is only one word to describe today: SPECTACULAR! The group went to a huge ranch today. Right when we arrived we were given empanadas and it was a really nice thing for the Argentinians to do for us. Then we all went horseback riding which was amazing! It was really great Read more about Spectacular Day![…]

Whirled like Acrobats

Posted on April 23, 2011April 23, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

By Marina Brace. The Tango dinner was amazing! The women wore gorgeous back-less dresses and whirlednaround like acrobats but were also very in control of every single movement they made. It was dramatic, exciting, and rich in Argentinian culture.

Buenos Aires: A Night to Remember

Posted on April 23, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

By Aidan Soccia. An interesting number of events have surpassed in the past few days. On Wednesday night, we went to a very nice restaurant, followed by a three hour Tango show. We had an unlimited number of drink refills at the restaurant, which is a luxury for us. After the lovely dinner, we all Read more about Buenos Aires: A Night to Remember[…]

Not Too Busy to Party

Posted on April 22, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

Yesterday was another full day. We slept in just a bit (didn’t have to be on the bus until 10:00 – so breakfast was also moved back about an hour), nice! Then once on the bus, we received a tour of the city – getting on and off the bus to get closer views and Read more about Not Too Busy to Party[…]

Tango Surprise

Posted on April 21, 2011 by Raechele Pope-Namaste

So, we are in Buenos Aires; “the Paris of South America”. This city is alive. You can almost feel it’s pulse. It is MUCH larger than Cordoba and has a less intimate feel, but it clearly has it’s own allure. We arrived late morning yesterday (after an early rise), checked into the hotel, a brief Read more about Tango Surprise[…]
