Advanced Ensemble assignment  2-26-10

From Mrs. Neal:  The violinists discussed their commitment to practicing Advanced Ensemble music.  They decided that they will practice Advanced Ensemble music a minimum of 15 minutes, 5 days a week.  They will practice more if possible, and if a piece is assigned to be memorized, then they will need to practice as much as necessary so it will be memorized for their next lesson.

From Mr. Levine:  In the viola-cello-bass sectional, the students were discussing what they need to do to be able to have exciting Advanced Ensemble opportunities.  They clarified that they need to do three basic things: 1. Show up to rehearsals, 2. Pay attention when in rehearsals, 3. Practice their Advanced Ensemble music

Both groups of students, in different rehearsal rooms at the time, came up with parallel discussions on what THEY felt was necessary to our process.  This is good!
